Managing Director MADAMI

He has been in business since he was 23 years old. He started in the family company LABETA and then transferred all the experience he gained to MADAMI. He experienced the wild beginnings of post-revolutionary business after 1989 and the entry of all retail chains into the Czech and Slovak markets. Today, he has spent an impressive 30 years in the food sales department.

His main domain is business development, key account management and negotiation of large contracts. He is almost always "on the hunt" or working on the preparation of new projects.

How is he at work?
I often surprise my colleagues by the fact that my working day starts at 3am. I don't call them, but in hindsight they notice that my tasks and emails are done this early.

In business, I like to look ahead, bring new ideas and look for new opportunities. When I go out to meet with customers, I get excited. Because these meetings always bring me fresh inspiration and some great ideas. I appreciate and acknowledge the work of others because I know how hard it is to make it big and succeed. And I notice the little details that others often overlook.

What is your favourite MADAMI product? 
Since I sell products from our three divisions, it's hard to pick one favorite. I have a soft spot for Forest Blend or Blackcurrant from the Fruit in a Bottle range, which I like to enjoy in desserts or as a refreshing drink. Punches with macerated dried fruit are unique. Puddings from the Kulina division are some of the finest on the market and our Chocolate Chip Muffins are truly delicious. And then there's the gift basket division with its delicatessen and own products, which are tasted by thousands of customers every year. 

Why is it in MADAMI?
What I enjoy about working at Madami is the diverse customer base. I enjoy interacting with the people I have the privilege of getting to know at work. There isn't a day that goes by when I don't feel like creating something. I'm proud of the company we've built from the ground up and the great products we're passionate about making. I'm extremely proud of our team of employees because together we know where we can move forward and what we can improve. Madami's success is my driving force.

How is he at work?
I am a big hearted person in my work and if I enjoy it and am in tune with it, I think I can go very far to see something big, beautiful, worthwhile behind me. Plus, I enjoy always improving something, tweaking it, even making a mistake, but going and running forward all the time.

What is your favourite MADAMI product?
That's easy, it's our luxury packages, whether it's a tea or a punch trio, for example. They are some of the nicest and tastiest gifts for absolutely everyone I've ever seen and tasted.

Why is it in MADAMI?
I joined MADAMI because of my sixth sense - I perceived a fast growing family business that had huge potential. I think we can do great things with the people and products it has, and more to be "born", and I want to be there - on board, at the helm. The best feeling I can experience, and it happens to me regularly, is when someone in my neighborhood, family, friends give me feedback on our style products: This tea is just unreal, I want to taste more!

David Nunvář

Sales Director CZ & SK

He has been part of the MADAMI team since November 2023 and takes care of everything related to sales. There is no shortage of them: all sales representatives in the Czech and Slovak Republics, the sales department for large customers, the gift basket sales division and of course the e-shop.  

How is he at work?
Challenging. On yourself and on everyone around you. I'm used to analyzing, evaluating, looking for ways even where there seem to be none. Selling. And travel. Because I can't help with sales if I don't know it from my own experience.

What is his favourite of our products?  
Lemonade with Sea Buckthorn and Gooseberry. And for a quiet evening sitting on the terrace and clearing your head of worries, our Apple Cider.  

What does he say about the company? 
I'm extremely satisfied. Unlike the corporate world where I have spent most of my professional life, the informal environment and the ability to really influence things is an extremely pleasant change. I have a great team of coworkers with a huge drive and big dreams. And of course I really enjoy what we sell.

Renata Kopecna

Renata has been "on board" MADAMI for 6 years.

How is she at work?  
I'm "at work" pretty much 24/7. I have a surplus of energy, so when others are tired, I always find the capacity to pick them up. I'm very quality and detail oriented, a constant process of improvement. I believe that perfection exists... just head in the clouds, but feet firmly on the ground.  

Which of the MADAMI products is your favourite?   
My number one in the MADAMI product portfolio is definitely the punches. Mostly cherry and ginger. A treat for the soul.  

Why MADAMI?  
Working as a freelancer for 5 years for one company says a lot. From the beginning I am convinced of the high quality of the products. I have a great respect for the owners who, despite their enormous know-how, have remained fair people. They put their heart into the company. And that's why I'm happy to give it to the company.  But my strongest WHY is a common vision - to build MADAMI into a LOVE BRAND. I want to be there!

Majka is in love with contentment. Customers. She invents, assembles, wraps and prepares gift packages for families, teams, groups, companies and corporations. She is a true professional. She knows the market perfectly, she knows what is trendy, what tastes good, what lasts, what will make you happy. He can handle atypical branding or small details that you want to distinguish your gift packaging. 

What is his favourite of our products?  
At first, we couldn't get Majka to choose one product. She likes all the gift packs best :- ) But eventually she revealed that she brings fruit for pancakes back home to Slovakia with waffles and whipped cream, ice cream or Sachr cake and coffee. She is then "Topka" in the eyes of the recipients.  

What does Majka say about the company?
I think of Madami as my extended family and I am grateful for her for many things. I've grown close to the company. Such an ever-living fossil or family silver (after 15 years) It inspires me and keeps the company going with the tremendous growth that I am an active part of every day.... I enjoy working with professionals and learning something every day.

Madame Dashicka

Virtual Team Assistant

Since she joined us, she has become the most indispensable employee of the company. She is literally at every purchase and sale, sorts and helps with a lot of paperwork, keeps track of deadlines.

How is she at work?
She's the only one of us who gets everything done by the deadline we give her, and she's always smiling about it. Sometimes she's so positive that we want to tell her to act like a human for a while. But we don't.
We know he's trying. And we're glad to have her here.

What is his favourite of our products?  
All of it. She said she'd like to get a real taste someday, but she'll have to wait for the developers to allow it.

What does he say about the company? 
I'm enjoying it here. Every day I have the opportunity to learn from user behaviour, develop my skills and add value. I find the environment inspiring because it encourages creativity, collaboration and technological advancement.
